Arsene Lupin stories

Arsene Lupin novels and stories

Arsene Lupin: When French entrepreneur M. Gournay-Martin receives a note from master thief, Arsene Lupin, stating Lupin's intent to rob Gournay-Martin blind, Gournay-Martin's future son-in-law, the Duke of Charmerace, gladly swings into action. But as the police are called in, and one detective grows more and more obsessed with Lupin, it soon becomes clear that there is a collision on the horizon, all orchestrated by the unseen "Arsene Lupin".

The Blonde Lady: A record of the duel of wits between Arsène Lupin and the English detective Holmlock Shears

The Confessions of Arsène Lupin: Tales in this collection are: Two Hundred Thousand Francs Reward!; The Wedding Ring; The Sign of the Shadow; The Infernal Trap; The Red Silk Scarf; Shadowed by Death; A Tragedy in the Forest of Morgues; Lupin's Mariage; The Invisible Prisoner and, Edith Swan-Neck (The tapestries puzzle)

The Crystal Stopper: Arsene Lupin may have finally met his match in Deputy Daubrecq, a cunning detective who foils Lupin's most cunning roberies, thefts, and even a kidnapping. Can the world's greatest thief get his act together, save his arrested men from the guillotine, and recover his lost honor?

Eight Strokes of the Clock: These adventures are told by Arsene Lupin, as though they had happened to a friend of his, Prince Renine. Considering the way in which they were conducted, the actions, the behaviour and the character of the hero, it is difficult not to identify the two as one and the same person. Arsene Lupin is quite capable of attributing to himself adventures which are not his at all and of disowning those which are really his.

The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar (also known as The Exploits of Arsene Lupin): The first collection of Arsene Lupin's incredible exploits sets the stage for the later novels, with such classic crime adventures as: The Arrest of Arsène Lupin; Arsène Lupin in Prison; The Escape of Arsène Lupin; The Mysterious Traveller; The Queen's Necklace; The Seven of Hearts; Madame Imbert's Safe; The Black Pearl; Sherlock Holmes Arrives Too Late

The Hollow Needle, Further adventures of Arsene Lupin: Maurice LeBlanc's gentleman thief returns in this intricately plotted tale of disguises, loot, and love. Once more Lupin is at large, snatching fortunes from under the noses of the wealthy. But this time he may have met his match . . . in a bright school student who manages to penetrate his secrets-and reaches his treasure-trove! But the greatest danger may be the woman with whom Lupin has fallen in love, for she has made him promise to give up his life of crime . . .

The Teeth of the Tiger: One of the three Arsene Lupin novels written during World War I, along with 'Le Triangle d'Or' and 'L'ile aux trente cercueils'. The novel has a historical flavor, romance and great architecture as 813 did. The only part the modern reader will find a bit inconsistent with the sensibility of our times is the discussion of how Lupin conquered Mauritania and of why France had legitimate colonial ambitions.
